- In this short article, the martyrdom of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (PBUH), the daughter of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) has been investigated. This event is one of the saddest events in the history of Islam, and Shiites around the world mourn for her during the Fatimiya Mourning Days.

Martyrdom of Fatima Zahra (s):

Hazrat Fatima (PBUH) fell ill after this attack.  Finally, on the 3rd date of Jumadi al-Thani of the year 11 AH, she was martyred. [1]

The consequences of her martyrdom:

Shiites consider the martyrdom of Hazrat Fatimah (pbuh) as the result of oppression on the Prophet's (pbuh) family. and believe that this event became the basis for deviating from the path of true Islam.[2], [3]

The Importance of her Martyrdom:

The martyrdom of Hazrat Fatima (PBUH) is of special importance. This incident is a symbol of the oppression on the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s) of the Prophet (PBUH). It is a reminder of the fact that Shiites have always been subjected to oppression.

Fatima Zahra (s) rose up and carried out a great mission. She invalidated the political coup of the wicked and brutal rulers who presented themselves as the successors of the Prophet (PBUH).

The martyrdom of Hazrat Fatima (PBUH) is also a reminder of the fact that Shiites must always resist in the way of defending the religion and the truth.

Fatimiya days:

The martyrdom of Hazrat Fatima (S) happened in the first decade of the month of Jumadi al-Thani. This decade is known as the "Fatimia Days" and Shiites all over the world mourn during these days.

Among the benefits of mourning during the Fatimiya Mourning Days, is the declaration of disgust for the usurpation of the caliphate of Mullah Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (a.s). and the the declaration of disgust for attackers of the holy lady of Islam, Fatima Zahra (s). Also, universal and magnificent mourning will clarify right from wrong and promote Islamic rites.

In Iran, Fatimiyyah days are official Days of public mourning and people mourn in mosques, hosseiniyehs and takayas during these days.

Conclusion:

The martyrdom of Hazrat Fatima (S) is one of the saddest events in the history of Islam. This incident is a reminder of the oppression on the family of the Prophet (PBUH) and invites the Shiites to resist oppression.
