In this article, we are going to review two important lessons from the lifestyle of Imam Hasan (as) regarding Salat.
It is narrated that whenever Imam Hassan (as) intended to offer his prayer, his face changed color because of fear of God and became red and yellow, and his body started to tremble. When asked about the reason, He said that he who wants to stand before God his face deserves to grow yellow and his joints deserve to start shaking. The Imam's trembling state continued in intensity as he got closer to the prayer time.
It is also narrated that once Imam (as) was asked about the reason why he would wear his best clothes when offering prayer. He answered with the following words,
Allah is beautiful and he loves beauty. For this reason, I wear beautiful clothes when I am going to supplicate to my Lord. (In addition,) He has also commanded that we embellish ourselves before going to the mosque.
