Ahkam: It is a set of rules and guidelines that a Muslim must act within. Like the branches of religion (prayer, fasting, zakat, khums, hajj, jihad, enjoining the good, forbidding the evil, Tawalli, Tabarri).

A Summarry of Ahkam (Islamic Rules) for Teenagers (Lesson 17)

Ahkam Explaination:

* A person who cannot bring his forehead to the ground should bend as far as he can and place the Muhr on a high place and prostrate. but he should place his palms, knees and toes on the ground as usual.

* If s/he cannot bend; s/he should sit and point with his head, but it is recommended to raise the Muhr if possible and place it on the forehead.

Order/Tartib:

It means that s/he should perform the prayer in this order: 1- Intention 2- Takbir Al-Haram 3- Recitation 4- Bowing 5- Prostration 6- In the second rak'ah after prostration, recite tashahhud 7- In the last rak'at after tashahhud, give salam.

Mawalat:

 It means following the parts of prayer and not leaving a gap between them.

Invalidation of prayer/things that invalidate prayer:

1 speaking.

2 Laughing loudly.

3 Crying loudly.

4 Turn away from the Qibla

5 Eating and drinking.

6 Disturbing or disordering the form of prayer, such as jumping in the air, clapping hands, etc.

7 Reducing or increasing the Rokns of prayer.

Explanation:

* Speaking, if it is intentional and has meaning, invalidates the prayer, but if it is because of forgetfulness, it does not invalidate it. Coughing and sneezing does not invalidate the prayer.

* You should not greet someone in prayer, but if they greet you with “Assalam Alaikum” , you should answer them as the same.

* Laughing loudly invalidates the prayer, but smiling does not invalidate the prayer.

* Skipping the obligatory prayer / breaking the prayer is forbidden, except in cases of necessity, such as:

1 save of life.

2 Keeping property.

3 Prevention of financial and physical loss.

4 Giving debt to a creditor who insists and is in a hurry. [1]
