:is religion an obstacle to Islamic progress? If religion is good and along with science causes progress and we say we do not progress unless there is religion, then why do we and the Islamic countries that have religion do not progress but the Western countries that do not have religion progress?

If you study history, you will see that Muslims and Islamic countries have developed very well throughout history. So that there was no competitor for them.

This growth and development continued until the 16th century A.D or about 400 years ago. But there are several reasons why Muslims and Islamic countries are Staying away from progress.

One of these reasons was the interference of non-Muslim enemies in the affairs of Muslim countries, who played them off by creating conflicts and differences among Muslims, and until Muslims thought of war and conflict with each other.

They have been advancing for 400 years and have pushed themselves ahead of Muslim countries and Muslims have fallen behind 400, although this backwardness continued until about 40 years ago, but with the victory of the Islamic Revolution and the progress of Iran and competition with the world, Islamic countries They both dared and started to make progress, and today Iran and Islamic countries are also making progress, so that now Iran itself is one of the top five countries in the world in some developments, such as medicine, nanotechnology, missiles, and so on.

2-in addition to the intervention of the enemies, the Muslims themselves neglected to follow the commands of the religion and instead of following the commands of the Qur'an and the narrations of the Ahl al-Bayt (as), they turned to differences and non-Muslims took the Qur'an and our religious sources. They acted in honesty, effort, trustworthiness, unity, acquiring knowledge, and so on.

3- And it is the natural law of the world that whoever tries harder and works harder, benefits more in the world, and there is no difference between Muslims and non-Muslims, and religion has come to teach us the right way to work, if we ourselves are lazy and let us not follow those orders, but if our non-Muslim enemies carry out the same orders in another name, they will certainly make progress and we will stop moving forward.

4- Sometimes some hardships for Muslims are a test or a divine love, such as parents who want their child to grow up. If the child does something wrong, the parents will take back the blessing they gave him. For example, they do not give him pocket money or give him a meal to make up for his work. but if it does not matter to his parents, they leave him to do whatever he likes and give him even more money to go and not to be in front of their eyes. God sometimes does the same thing to a servant if they make a mistake and put them in a trouble in order to make up. but if the servant is not important to him, he leaves him alone to do whatever he wants, and even gives him more wealth to use. And in due time takes everything from him and destroys him.

5- And sometimes hardships are the prelude to progress, and, because God wants His good servant to reach better opportunities and progress, forbids him from some trivial things, such as an athlete who forbids himself from having fun and fatty and sweet foods, and trains hard so that reach the gold medal. God also makes it difficult for us in this world to give us a paradise and a better reward.

why do we and the Islamic countries that have religion do not progress but the Western countries that do not have religion progress
