Imam Hussain from birth to martyrdom

Imam Hussain (AS) was born on the 3rd of Sha'ban in the 4th year of Hijrah in the city of Madinah. His honorable father is Amir Al-Mu'minin Ali (peace be upon him) and his mother Hazrat Fatima (peace be upon him) is the master of women in the world.

On the birthday of Imam Hussain (AS), they brought him to the presence of the Holy Prophet (SAW). The Prophet (PBUH) also called him "Hussein".

The happy childhood years of Hossein (AS) soon ended. He was about seven years old when the Messenger of God (PBUH) passed away.

The burial ceremony of the Prophet (PBUH) had not yet been completed, when seditions to seize " the issue of leadership " appeared. Even Fadak was taken by force by the government of the time.

Imam Hussain (AS) was also seven years old when he lost his mother as a result of injuries caused by the pledge of allegiance.

After the martyrdom of Imam Hassan (AS) in 50 AH, Imam Hossein (AS) assumed the responsibility of Imamate.

"Muawiyah died in 60 AH after 20 years of tyrannical rule and the killing of Shiites in particular, and contrary to the peace agreement with Imam Hasan (AS), he replaced his son Yazid".

Yazid was a corrupt and alcoholic person who was against Islam. He openly violated the Islamic rules and openly drank wine. Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) opposed him from the very beginning.

Yazid wrote a letter to the governor of Madina and ordered him to ask Imam Hussain (AS) to pledge allegiance to Yazid and if he refused to do so, to kill him. Imam (AS) who was not willing to pledge allegiance to Yazid, went to Mecca with his family. At this time, the people of Kufa, who had heard about the death of Mu'awiya, wrote many letters to Imam Hussain (AS) and asked him to come to Iraq and Kufa.
